    What is the Insanity Diet Plan?

    The Insanity diet plan is part of the Insanity workout program, created by fitness trainer Shaun T. The program is designed to help people lose weight and get in shape through a combination of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and a balanced diet.

    How Does the Insanity Diet Plan Work?

    The Insanity diet plan focuses on eating whole, nutrient-dense foods while cutting out processed foods, sugar, and unhealthy fats. The plan is divided into three phases, each lasting around 30 days:

    1. Phase 1: The Foundation – During this phase, you’ll focus on building a foundation of healthy eating habits. You’ll eat five meals a day, including lean protein, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. You’ll also drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
    2. Phase 2: The Energy Booster – In this phase, you’ll continue to eat five meals a day, but you’ll increase your calorie intake to fuel your intense workouts. You’ll also add more complex carbohydrates to your diet to provide sustained energy.
    3. Phase 3: The Endurance Maximizer – The final phase is designed to help you maintain your weight loss and build endurance. You’ll continue to eat five meals a day, focusing on lean protein, vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. You’ll also add more healthy fats to your diet to support your energy levels.

    Benefits of the Insanity Diet Plan

    The Insanity diet plan offers several benefits, including:

    • Weight Loss – The high-intensity workouts and balanced diet can help you lose weight and improve your overall health.
    • Increased Energy – Eating whole, nutrient-dense foods can help increase your energy levels and improve your performance during workouts.
    • Improved Health – The Insanity diet plan focuses on eating whole foods, which can improve your overall health and reduce your risk of chronic diseases.

    The Elite Insanity Nutrition Plan

    With Insanity, you are recommended:

    1. To eat 5 meals a day

    • Breakfast
    • Mid Morning Snack
    • Lunch
    • Afternoon Snack
    • Dinner

    With all Beachbody fitness programs, they always say to never eat sooner than 1 hour before your workout because your body will be in digestion mode. Because of this, you won’t have the energy for the workout.

    2. You must Eat every few hours as this keeps your metabolism burning

    3. Every week, check your recommended daily calories as this will change as your body changes.

    4.  Drink 8-10 cups of water a day to help reduce hunger pangs. For me, I drink double this because my body demands it. 8-10 cups is the absolute minimum.

    With Insanity, it’s normal to increase your calories just to maintain as you may experience quick fat loss in a specific time during your 60 days.

    Recommended Meals In the Insanity Elite Nutrition Plan:

    Breakfast:

    Cottage Cheese (1% milk fat)
    Fruit
    Oatmeal
    Whole Wheat Bagels
    Egg Whites
    Reduced fat cheese
    Whole Grain Cereal like Kashi GoLean
    All Natural Peanut Butter
    Strawberry Preserve

    Mid Morning Snack:

    Non-Fat Plain Yogurt
    1% cottage Cheese
    Protein Shake
    Turkey Breast Sandwich on whole grain bread
    Fruits like Bananas, melon, berries
    Turkey Bacon

    Lunch :

    Mixed dark greens
    Chicken Breast
    Tuna Steak
    Avocado
    Lean Roast Beef
    Extra Lean Ground Beef
    Salmon
    Green Beans
    Whole grain Tortillas

    You can make sandwiches and soups that are amazingly tasty with things like black beans, turkey breasts, avocado, etc.

    Afternoon Snack:

    Brown rice
    Water Packed Tuna
    Celery
    tomatoes
    Cottage Cheese
    Whole grain Bread
    Whole grain Crackers
    Turkey Lettuce Wraps
    Turkey Chili
    Shrimp Cocktail
    Lean roast Beef Wraps with avocado

    Dinner:

    Cod
    Olive Oil
    Carrots
    Cauliflower
    Spinach
    Whole Wheat Bread
    Asparagus
    Flank Steak
    Filet Mignon
    Sirloin
    Baked Potato
    Broccoli
    Brown rice
    Lean Turkey Burger
    Mushrooms
    Snow Peas

    Remember that you can have as many spices like pepper, paprika, and garlic as you want. However, sugars like juices, sodas, and such are not recommended.

    The Insanity diet plan is not suitable for everyone. It’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new diet or exercise program, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or dietary restrictions.
